Hot Notice in effect

The heat dome returned to North Texas this week after a short hiatus last weekend. Expect highs around 100-105 with bright sunshine every day.

Counties west of DFW will be the warmest with highs of 105 or higher. DFW highs will mostly be in the range of 101-103 this week. A heat advisory is in effect for much of north Texas through Tuesday evening. The good news is that dangerously high humidity isn’t forecast for the next few days.

Fire danger will also increase this week, particularly for areas along and west of I-35, given the combination of breezy conditions, intense heat and ongoing drought.
