The car recovery process begins after the shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets, police say
People who are unable to retrieve their cars after the mass shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets mall could pick them up Sunday night, police said.
The Allen Senior Recreation Center, 451 St. Mary Drive, will coordinate the recovery process from 5:45 to 9:30 pm, according to police.
If you can’t be dropped off at the rec center, police told you to park at the Edge at Allen Station Skate Park, located on the west side of the senior center. The police ask to leave only one person, equipped with car keys, for each vehicle.

At about 3:30 pm Saturday, a gunman opened fire outside retail outlets in the 800 block of West Stacy Road near US Highway 75, killing eight and wounding seven others before being fatally shot by an police.
Like hundreds of others, Cheri McLean, 68, and her husband — who were in town visiting Oklahoma family — were escorted around the perimeter of the outlet and were unable to retrieve their car.
McLean and her husband said information on when they would be readmitted was scarce, noting that they hadn’t seen an update from Allen police since 1:15pm Sunday and didn’t know the recovery process was already underway until they talked to The Dallas Morning News.
The McLeans said they were grateful they were safe, especially since they heard the shots, but were amazed at how much disruption an incident like this can cause in so many people’s lives.
