Police: At least 7 dead after crash in Brownsville, Texas

Details are limited at this time, but police say the incident happened around 8.30am on Sunday.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — At least seven people died and six others were injured after being hit by a vehicle while waiting at a city bus stop, Brownsville, Texas police officials said Sunday.

Brownsville Police Investigator Martin Sandoval said the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. at a bus stop near a migrant shelter in the border town.

It’s unclear what led up to the crash, but we’re told Brownsville Police believe it was done intentionally. The driver has been arrested and charges are expected, according to police.
