At a time when inflation and higher property taxes have driven wages down, it would be difficult to ask taxpayers to approve measures that could further increase their taxes.

However, voters on Saturday passed all but one of the local school district bond measures.

Alamo Heights ISD, Comal ISD, Southwest ISD, and Medina Valley ISD received voter approval to advance major county initiatives. However, Comal ISD voters rejected one of the three bond offers.

Bond funding comes from property taxes, but due to an increase in property valuation, this increase for part of the school district may already be covered.
