Man killed in fatal shipwreck on southwest side late Saturday night

It happened at SW Loop 410 and Old Pearsall Road just before 10pm

SAN ANTONIO – A man died in a fatal crash in the southwest part of the city late Saturday night.

The accident occurred just before 10 p.m. near Loop 410 and Old Pearsall Road.

Police say the car was trying to reach the access road at the same time as an SUV was entering the highway and it crossed all lanes of traffic. That car ended up getting screwed over by the SUV.

The passenger in that car, a man in his early 20s, died at the scene.

Police did not say whether the driver of the SUV would face any charges.

No other injuries were reported and no other details were provided.

This is a developing story.
